This is an interesting story about two pirate brothers. One is nice, Nic, and one, Kris, is not so nice. What drives them apart is a jeweled necklace. One of the brothers washes up on Christmas island and begins to make his home there, helping the elves. Years later, the other brother uses the necklace’s power to find his brother. Once they are reunited, they begin to build toys with the elves and they want to spread joy and happiness to others.
While this is a really sweet book, I also find it a bit confusing. I think they are supposed to be like the Santa brothers since their names are Nic like St. Nicholas and Kris like Kris Kringle. Either way the illustrations are brightly colored and really cute. This book has a QR code to make it an audiobook which is really fun.
